Timothy Montgomery was born and raised in Northern New York. He left home at the age of 13 and received room and board and $15 a week, on a local dairy farm. He continued going to school and graduated in 1968, moved to Hartford, Connecticut and worked as a data operator in an insurance company. In 1970 he married a northern New York home town girl. In 1971 he enlisted in the United States Air Force and stayed in the service until 1981. His first wife passed away in 1991 from cancer, he remarried and is living in Melbourne, Florida. He worked for various engineering firms, spending 22 years as an electronic technician and supervisor of communications on Cape Canaveral AFS, supporting space launch vehicles, including the space shuttles. He has 3 children, 3 step children, 7 grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter and pulls from all this data to write his poetry. He has a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and Masters Degree in Telecommunications Management. Tim’s first book of poetry will be released by Dorrance Publishing Co. in the summer of 2015.
